New Weekly Tipz Show! This week i talk a little about why using exercise as a primary means of getting rid of body fat might not be a good idea for most people, especially folks new to exercise. Simply put, exercise mostly burns off calories (body fat) that we’ve already put in (and on) our bodies. It just makes sense to NOT to consume so many unnecessary calories in the first place. In other words, focus MOSTLY on improving nutrition if you really want to get rid of unwanted body fat. Exercise and being active are very important. You should move every day. But what you eat and drink is the biggest part of the “fat-loss” equation.

New Weekly Tipz! This week i talk briefly on health. Health before fitness. Being “healthy” means taking care of the basics first. ALong with that is also our attitude, aka the thoughts we keep. Negativity in our personal lives will eventually eat up our “health” like the cookie monster eatin’ up some cookies. Being positive helps everything. Health before fitness…every time.

Food for thought. Pun intended. Eating the same exact thing every day may be a major cause in developing food allergies and intolerances to certain foods. A wise choice would be “variety”. Try rotating the foods you eat every few days. Rotate a different protein source, veggies, fruits, teas, even protein powders. Variety is good for many things in this so called life. At the very least, it helps with boredom 🙂

New Weekly Tipz Show! This week is Part 2 from last week. Last week demonstrated a few full body exercises so that’d you’d have an idea of what i mean when i say “never sit down to exercise”. This week i show a few more examples. But just know that there are many. This is only intended to simply give you a few ideas. Next week i will demonstrate a sample workout, done in real time. This week just focus on the idea of “variety”. Get up. Stand up. Move.

New Weekly Tipz (repost)! This week is part 1 of 2 (or 3). I just wanted to show some of you what “full body” movements look like. Just to get you thinking. There will be more next week and a workout video the week after next. This video today is NOT a workout or a prescription. It’s just me showing a bunch of progressions of movement. Some are easy, some are a bit harder. The idea is to not sit down to do exercise…stand up!

New Weekly Tipz for the week of Jan 30! This week i talk about 6 or 7 things that most people probably shouldn’t do while working out at the gym or at home. These observations are based on years of working for a big box gym. I, along with many other trainers, witnessed many wasteful things. Sadly, not much has changed since then. Sadly, people still do many useless things, much of which has been hanging around for decades. This is not to be mean, only to educate. Evolve.
